What is Babies & Barbells?

Babies & Barbells is a post-partum specific strength and conditioning class available to new moms (or dads!). It is focused on slow and controlled movements centred around glute and core strength to promote pelvic health and stability within the body. But don’t be fooled, just because we are moving slowly doesn’t mean you won’t be working up a sweat. This post-partum specific class is designed for to promote fat loss and muscle gain, get your heart rate going in a safe and inclusive environment.

Think you just need to workout to get into shape? Nutrition plays an important factor, if not more important factor than the workout. Each participant will also receive our nutrition guideline to properly fuel their bodies and support life!

Did we mention that your baby gets to come along and enjoy the fun as well? Every class will be run by not one but two coaches! One to lead the class and one to keep the babies under a watchful eye.

Who is Babies & Barbells for?

New moms, dads and babies!

Babies & Barbells will be open to new moms, dads as well as their babies. Babies must be pre-crawling/pre-walking as the nature of the class requires for babies to be mostly stationary. There will be a designated area within view of parents where babies will spend their time. A caring coach will manage the babies while you have a great workout! Best of both worlds!

We ask that parents bring a carrier, blanket or floor pad for their baby to lay in during the class. Some comfortable items always makes a new place feel more like home!


When can I start?

The first round of Babies & Barbells is launching on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 and will go until Saturday, March 17th, 2018. Babies & Barbells is a 6 week program that runs twice a week for an hour long class. You can choose to try out single classes, 10 classes, or jump in and do all 12!

Class times are listed below. In the case of cancellation, participants will be notified through email with more than 24 hours notice. The session will be made up at the end of the term.

All lovely things come with a price tag. Luckily, we believe that fitness and health shouldn’t come at a premium but come in at a fair rate.

Single Class:

10 Class Pass:

$239.00 ($23.90/class)

The 10 Class Pass gives you the ability to attend up to 10 of the 12 classes. 10 Class Pass holders will also receive:

All Access:

$259.00 ($21.58/class! Best value + 2 goal tracking and weekly check ins!)

You can come to every single class! All Access participants will also receive:

  1. Weekly check ins (measurement, mood, nutrition, etc)
  2. Goal setting & tracking
  3. Before/After photos (subject to your own comfort)
  4. Facebook Support Group with participants and coaches only
